Animal Feed

Vivergo Fuels will produce around 500,000 tonnes per annum of high-protein, high-fibre animal feed; making us the biggest single supplier in the UK once fully operational.

The ethanol production process removes the starch from the wheat, resulting in a concentration of the wheat protein and fibre, which Vivergo will convert into a high quality animal feed. Vivergo's products will be produced from UK wheat, and will therefore be traceable and GM-free. The scale and continuous nature of our process provide opportunity to take advantage of consistency in material quality leading to assurance in diet control and optimum feed performance.

Currently, approximately 80% of the protein needed for EU agriculture is imported.  The animal feed products offered by Vivergo will benefit domestic farmers by providing a consistent and palatable source, transforming locally grown wheat into a feed that helps to address the protein deficit that UK agriculture faces. 

Vivergo will produce three forms of FEMAS-assured animal feed:

• Dry pelleted
• Moist meal
• Liquid solubles
